Sylvain Pataille

🍇 Sylvain Pataille

Based in Marsannay, at the northern gateway to Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, Sylvain Pataille creates wines that express the remarkable character of each vineyard. His approach is rooted in respect for nature, with careful work in the vines and a focus on revealing the purity, freshness and natural balance of the grapes.

🌿 The estate’s vineyards benefit from the limestone-rich soils and varied exposures of the Marsannay appellation. These distinctive terroirs bring elegance, mineral freshness and plenty of depth to the wines, while allowing each cuvée to show its own personality.

🍷 Pinot Noir takes centre stage in the red wines, offering bright fruit, delicate spices and refined structure. Chardonnay brings freshness and finesse to the white wines, while Aligoté reveals a lively, crisp style with a deliciously refreshing character. Depending on the cuvée, other Burgundy varieties may also add texture and originality.

With their balance, energy and authentic sense of place, Sylvain Pataille’s wines are a wonderful introduction to the expressive world of Marsannay. They are ideal for discovering Burgundy with ease, whether you are looking for a graceful red, a vibrant white or a wine with real ageing potential.
