Pinot Noir Cuvée XXC

Domaine Vincent Stoeffler
Picture a red from Alsace that really surprises you. Grown on sun-soaked slopes where limestone and marl give the vines something special to dig into, this is biodynamic farming done with genuine care by a family who've worked these plots for generations. Low yields, hand-picked fruit, then a gentle vinification with a long ageing in oak barrels to round everything off. You get silky red cherry, wild strawberry and a whisper of smoke, with tannins so fine they almost melt away. Pour it with roast duck, mushroom risotto or a good cheese board — or simply enjoy it on its own.
