Sylvaner Rutscherle

Domaine Vincent Stoeffler
Grown on the Rutscherle lieu-dit, where limestone-rich soils give this Alsace white its crisp backbone, this is Sylvaner at its most charming. The Stoeffler family farms biodynamically in Barr, tending old vines by hand and letting the fruit speak for itself. Gentle pressing, a slow fermentation and ageing on fine lees bring texture without heaviness. Expect fresh citrus, white peach and a subtle saline finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. Pour it with oysters, grilled fish, goat's cheese or simply on its own as an aperitif. A honest, food-friendly bottle you'll want to keep in stock.
