🍷 Sam Vinciullo: Australian Natural Wine Rooted in Radical Craft and Coastal Purity
Based in Margaret River, Western Australia, Sam Vinciullo is one of the country’s most radical natural winemakers. After working in Europe (notably with Frank Cornelissen on Mount Etna), he founded his own domaine in 2015. The vines are dry-farmed, own-rooted, and grown without herbicides or systemic chemicals on sandy soils near the ocean. Grapes are hand-picked, destemmed, basket-pressed, and vinified with zero additives: no sulfur, no yeast, no filtration, no oak. All whites are fermented on skins. The wines are alive, precise, saline, and reflect a deeply artisanal approach.
