Riesling Rock

Rieffel
From the family-run Rieffel estate in Mittelbergheim, this dry white comes from vines rooted in a distinctive sandstone and granite soil that gives the wine its mineral backbone. Farmed organically, the grapes are picked by hand and pressed gently, then fermented slowly with indigenous yeasts before resting on fine lees. The result is beautifully taut and precise, with citrus zest, white peach and a flinty, saline finish that lingers. Serve it chilled alongside grilled fish, shellfish, goat's cheese or a simple roast chicken. A pure, honest Alsatian white that rewards patience in the cellar yet drinks wonderfully now.
