Pinot Noir Hagel

Rieffel
Imagine a pinot noir that feels light on its feet yet has plenty to say. Grown on the Hagel slope, where limestone-rich soils and a sunny exposure give the grapes real depth, this one comes from the Rieffel family in Mittelbergheim — biodynamic growers who let the vineyard do the talking. Hand-harvested fruit, gentle extraction and ageing in older oak keep everything fresh and honest: think wild cherry, redcurrant and a whisper of smoky spice, with silky tannins and a lively finish. Pour it slightly chilled alongside roast poultry, charcuterie or a mushroom risotto, and you'll see exactly why Alsace reds deserve more attention.
