Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvée Cœur du Roy VV Domaine Bernard Dugat-Py

Crafted by one of Burgundy's most respected family estates, this red comes from old vines rooted deep in the limestone-rich soils around a legendary Côte de Nuits village. Low yields, meticulous organic farming and hand-harvested fruit give the wine real concentration, while ageing in fine French oak adds polish without covering the fruit. Expect dark cherry, wild raspberry and forest floor, framed by silky tannins and that unmistakable mineral edge. The 2017 vintage brings freshness and elegance, making it lovely now yet built to reward a decade in the cellar. Pour it with game, beef or a mature Époisses.
