Bourgogne

Pierre Boisson
Crafted in Meursault by a grower whose family has quietly shaped the village for generations, this white Burgundy punches well above its appellation. The Chardonnay comes from vines planted on clay-limestone soils just below the famous slopes, farmed with real care and picked by hand. Fermentation and ageing take place in oak barrels, only a small share new, letting the fruit speak first. Expect a bright nose of citrus, white peach and hazelnut, a silky texture and that saline, mineral finish typical of the Côte de Beaune. Lovely now with roast chicken or grilled fish, and happy to wait a few years.
