🏰 Chalk cellars, centuries of history

Beneath Reims, Taittinger ages its bottles in ancient chalk cellars once carved out by Roman hands, later used by the monks of Saint-Nicaise Abbey. Constant cool temperatures, natural humidity, total calm — these conditions let the wines rest patiently and develop their complexity. The house also owns a large stretch of vineyards across the region, which means real control over the fruit from vine to glass.

🌿 Terroir worth tasting

Côte des Blancs for finesse, Montagne de Reims for structure, Vallée de la Marne for fruit — Taittinger draws on all three. The chalky subsoil here is the secret ingredient, feeding the vines water slowly and giving the wines that signature mineral edge you can almost taste.
