Comtes de Champagne

Taittinger
A blanc de blancs born entirely from Grand Cru Chardonnay grown on the chalky slopes of the Côte des Blancs, this 2011 vintage shows just how precise a great house can be. Only the first pressing is kept, and a small share of the wine rests in oak barrels before a long, patient ageing in the cellars beneath Saint-Nicaise hill. The result is pure elegance: fine, persistent bubbles, aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and toasted brioche, with a chalky freshness that lingers. Open it for a special evening, alongside oysters, langoustines or simply on its own. You'll remember the moment.
