Sicus
🍷 Sicus: Mediterranean Natural Wine Shaped by Sea, Mountains, and Buried Amphorae
Located in Bonastre, southern Catalonia (Penedès region), Sicus is led by Eduard Pie, a radical winemaker and terroir poet. He grows only indigenous grape varieties (Xarel·lo, CartoixĂ , Monastrell, MalvasĂa de Sitges…) on limestone soils influenced by both the nearby sea and surrounding mountains. Vines are neither tilled nor chemically treated, coexisting with wild flora. Winemaking is fully natural, using amphorae made from local clay, often buried directly in the vineyard. The wines are saline, vibrant, and pure, expressing a sincere vision of the Mediterranean landscape.
