🍷 Romain Le Bars: Natural Rhône Wine Blending Artisan Finesse and Free-Spirited Energy
After working for seven years at Domaine de l’Anglore, Romain Le Bars launched his own estate in 2018 in Tavel, southern Rhône Valley, starting with just 1.2 hectares. His first cuvées were vinified in his garage using direct press or carbonic maceration, with a natural approach: hand harvesting, native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and minimal sulfur (only 8–10 mg/L for Lirac). Today, he farms around 10 hectares organically between Tavel and Lirac, with a wide range of grape varieties. His wines are vibrant, elegant, and reflect a new generation of Rhône winemakers committed to authenticity and freedom.
