Riesling Clos Hauserer BIO

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht
Grown on a single walled plot at the foot of the Hengst hill in Wintzenheim, this dry Alsatian white comes from one of the region's most respected biodynamic estates. The Humbrecht family has farmed here for generations, working deep marl-limestone soils that give the wine its firm backbone and saline grip. Hand-harvested fruit, slow natural fermentation in large old foudres and long lees ageing bring real depth without a hint of heaviness. Expect citrus zest, white peach, crushed stone and a long, mouth-watering finish. Lovely now with shellfish or river fish, yet built to reward a decade in the cellar.
