Puerta des Viento

🍷 Puerta del Viento: Natural Wine from Bierzo Rooted in Mountains, Tradition, and Freedom

Founded in 2009 by Jorge Vega, Puerta del Viento is a small artisanal winery located in the Berciana mountain range, between Pieros and Cobrana villages in Bierzo (Castilla y LeĂłn, Spain). Jorge farms nearly 2 hectares of old bush vines at 800 meters altitude, without chemical treatments, on rugged mountain soils. He works exclusively with native varieties like MencĂa, Godello, and Pan y Carne (an ancestral grape recently revived). Winemaking is fully natural: indigenous yeasts, no additives, no added sulfites, no filtration. The wines are healthy, deep, fruity, and show a Burgundian finesse within a Spanish landscape.
