Pommard Clos des roses

Domaine Rougeot
Crafted by a family estate in Meursault known for its hands-on, low-intervention approach, this Burgundy red comes from a sheltered plot where clay-rich soils give Pinot Noir real depth. The 2023 vintage shows ripe black cherry and raspberry, with gentle spice and a hint of rose petal lifting the nose. Grapes are hand-picked, sorted carefully and fermented with native yeasts, then aged in oak barrels where only a light touch of new wood is used. The result is silky yet firm, with fine-grained tannins and a long, savoury finish. Open it with roast duck, mushroom dishes or simply give it time to breathe.
