Saint Romain La Combe Bazin

Domaine Rougeot
Tucked into a cool, stony hillside above Meursault, this Chardonnay comes from a family estate farmed with real care — organic work in the vines, horses rather than tractors where it counts, and grapes picked by hand. The 2023 vintage gives you a bright, chiselled white: think citrus zest, white peach and crushed stone, with a saline finish that keeps you coming back. Fermented and aged in barrel on its fine lees, it has a gentle creaminess without losing its nerve. Lovely now with scallops, goat's cheese or roast chicken, and it will reward a few years in the cellar.
