Meursault 1er Cru Mes Charmes

Domaine Rougeot
From one of Meursault's most celebrated slopes, this 2023 white Burgundy shows you exactly why the village is so loved. The Rougeot family work their vines organically, letting deep clay-limestone soils and old roots do the talking. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, then fermented and aged in barrel on fine lees, giving a silky texture without ever masking the fruit. Expect ripe white peach, hazelnut and a touch of honeyed citrus, lifted by a saline, mineral finish that keeps you coming back. Pour it with roast poultry, creamy risotto or scallops, and give it a few years if you can resist.
