Marie-Lise et Tomas Batardiere

🍷 Marie-Lise and Thomas Batardière: Loire Natural Wines Rooted in Terroir and Intuition

Based in Rablay-sur-Layon in the Loire Valley, Marie-Lise and Thomas Batardière craft expressive, natural wines with a deep respect for the land. Thomas, a former anthropologist fascinated by soil, became a winemaker in 2012 after training in Beaune and working at Château Yvonne in Saumur. Together with Marie-Lise, they farm about 4 hectares biodynamically (Demeter certified since 2015), focusing on Chenin Blanc and Grolleau. Winemaking is natural, with no additives or sulfites, and tailored to each vintage and parcel. Their wines are vibrant, free-spirited, and soulful expressions of Anjou’s terroir.
