🍷 L’Étrangère: Living Wine, Cinema, and Biodiversity in Calce
Founded in 2019 by Laura Rebessi and Paulo Almeida, L’Étrangère is a natural wine estate located in Calce, Roussillon (southern France). After careers in aviation and film, the couple settled in the village to restore an old cellar and farm about 6 hectares of old vines organically. The wines are made without additives or added sulfur, using gentle, artisanal methods. The plots lie on varied soils (blue marl, schist, limestone) between sea and mountains, and are harvested by hand with friends. Each cuvée is named after a cult film, reflecting their love of cinema.
