Foradori
Foradori is a renowned winery located in the Trentino region of Northern Italy. Established in 1901, it has gained international acclaim for its commitment to quality and sustainability. The estate is situated in the picturesque village of Mezzolombardo, nestled between the majestic Dolomite mountains and the serene Adige River.
Under the stewardship of Elisabetta Foradori, who took over the family business in 1984, the winery has embraced biodynamic farming practices. This approach emphasizes harmony with nature, enhancing soil health and promoting biodiversity. Foradori's vineyards span approximately 28 hectares and are primarily planted with Teroldego, an indigenous grape variety that thrives in this unique terroir.
The winery is celebrated for producing exceptional Teroldego wines, characterized by their depth, complexity, and elegant structure. These wines often exhibit notes of dark fruit, spice, and minerality, reflecting the distinct characteristics of the region's gravelly soils. In addition to Teroldego, Foradori also cultivates other native grape varieties such as Nosiola and Manzoni Bianco, offering a diverse range of wines that showcase the rich viticultural heritage of Trentino.
Foradori's dedication to excellence extends beyond viticulture to include meticulous winemaking techniques. The use of large oak barrels and amphorae for fermentation and aging allows for a balanced expression of the grapes' natural flavors. This careful craftsmanship results in wines that are both authentic and expressive, earning Foradori a prominent place among Italy's leading wine producers.
