Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Vignes de Montgueux

Champagne Jacques Lassaigne
Straight from the chalky slopes of Montgueux, this is Chardonnay at its purest. Emmanuel Lassaigne works his family vines with a light touch — low yields, native yeasts, barely any sulphur and no dosage to speak of. The result? A sparkling wine that tastes of the place it comes from: crushed white peach, citrus zest, a whisper of toast and that unmistakable chalky bite on the finish. The bubbles are fine, the texture almost creamy, yet it stays taut and bone-dry. Brilliant with oysters, sushi or simply on its own. If you love grower Champagne with real character, you'll want this one.
