Domaine Fanny Sabre

🍇 Domaine Fanny Sabre — Burgundy with heart and honesty

Tucked away in Beaune, right in the middle of Burgundy's golden slopes, Domaine Fanny Sabre is one of those estates you fall for quickly. Fanny took over the family vines when she was barely twenty, learned alongside some of the region's most respected growers, and built a domaine that puts the vineyard first. No shortcuts, no heavy make-up in the cellar — just wines that taste like where they come from.

🌿 A terroir you can taste

The estate works plots across Beaune, Pommard, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet and a few other gems of the Côte d'Or. Limestone, clay, old marl soils — each parcel brings its own voice. Farming is organic and attentive, with low yields and hand harvesting, because Fanny knows great wine is made long before the grapes reach the cellar.

🍷 The grapes

Pinot Noir leads the reds, giving you that silky, red-fruited charm Burgundy does better than anywhere else — cherry, raspberry, a whisper of spice and a lovely fresh finish. Chardonnay takes care of the whites, with citrus, white flowers and a chalky tension that keeps you coming back for another sip. You'll also find Aligoté and Gamay in the line-up, bottled with the same care and often offering seriously good value.

✨ Why you'll love these bottles

Minimal sulphur, native yeasts, gentle extraction: the wines are pure, vibrant and genuinely drinkable. They're generous enough to open tonight with a roast chicken or a plate of cheese, yet structured enough to keep for a few years if you can resist. If you want real Burgundy made by someone who clearly loves her job, this is the place to start.
