Côtes de Nuits Les Plantes Aux Bois

Antoine Lienhardt
Antoine Lienhardt farms his vines near Comblanchien with a light touch: organic work in the rows, low yields and plenty of patience in the cellar. This Pinot Noir comes from a parcel on the edge of the woods, where cool nights and stony limestone soils keep the fruit fresh and precise. Whole bunches, gentle infusion-style extraction and ageing in used oak let the vineyard do the talking. You get crunchy red cherry and wild raspberry, a floral lift, fine silky tannins and a mineral snap on the finish. Pour it with roast poultry, charcuterie or a mushroom risotto — you'll be glad you did.
