Bourgogne Côté d'Or les grandes gouttes

Domaine Rougeot
Picture a Chardonnay from the heart of the Côte d'Or, grown on limestone-rich slopes just outside Meursault. The Rougeot family farm their vines organically, letting the soil speak for itself: low yields, hand-picking and plenty of patience in the cellar. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in seasoned oak barrels, it keeps its freshness while gaining a lovely creamy texture. Expect white peach, citrus zest and a touch of hazelnut, with that saline, chalky finish Burgundy lovers chase. Pour it with roast chicken, soft cheeses or simply on its own. Great value for a wine with this much personality and pedigree.
