Weingut Wasenhaus

🍇 Weingut Wasenhaus: Burgundian Elegance in Baden

Founded in 2016 in Staufen, south of Freiburg im Breisgau (Baden, Germany), Wasenhaus is run by Christoph Wolber and Alexander Götze, two friends trained in Beaune and experienced at top Burgundy estates (Leflaive, de Montille, Comte Armand). Returning to Germany, they applied their Burgundian expertise to old-vine parcels of Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay around Staufen and in the Kaiserstuhl. Farming is organic, harvesting is manual, and winemaking is low-intervention with oak barrel aging. Their style is pure, precise, and elegant, with strong terroir identity. Wasenhaus has quickly gained cult status among lovers of Spätburgunder and refined whites.

Weißburgunder Möhlin

Fresh, elegant and full of character, this 2021 white from Weingut Wasenhaus captures the finesse of Baden’s terroir. The two young winemakers behind the estate are known for crafting wines with precision, purity and a gentle touch, and this bottle is no exception. Expect crisp citrus notes, delicate stone fruit and a fine mineral backbone that makes every sip lively and refreshing. Its balance between freshness and subtle creaminess makes it perfect for an aperitif or to pair with light dishes. Serve it chilled at around 10–12°C to fully enjoy its vibrant and refined personality.
