Trousseau "Le Bastard"

Fumey-Chatelain
From the heart of the Jura, this red comes from a family estate in Arbois working its vines with real care, on the marl and limestone slopes that give the region its character. The grape here is Trousseau, a local speciality that loves warm, stony plots and repays you with charm and energy. Expect bright red fruit, cherry and redcurrant, a touch of pepper and smoke, and tannins that stay silky rather than firm. Gentle vinification keeps things pure and fresh, with no heavy oak to hide behind. Lovely with roast poultry, charcuterie or Comté, and even better lightly chilled.

Palate: Supple and juicy attack, silky texture, crunchy red fruit carried by fine-grained tannins and a saline, mineral finish of good length
