Ploussard "Fertans"

Fumey-Chatelain
A delicate red from the Jura, made by the Fumey-Chatelain family in Arbois, where organic farming and gentle winemaking are second nature. The Ploussard grapes come from the Fertans plot, rooted in blue-grey marl that gives the wine its lovely tension and savoury edge. Expect a pale, almost translucent ruby, then a burst of wild strawberry, redcurrant and crushed rose petals, with a whisper of spice. Whole-bunch fermentation and ageing in old foudres keep things fresh and silky — no heavy oak here. Serve it lightly chilled with charcuterie, roast poultry or a comté platter, and enjoy every sip.
