Oenosapiens
🍷 Oenosapiens: Itinerant Natural Wine Project Celebrating Forgotten Terroirs and Radical Craftsmanship
Founded in 2022 by three Italian oenologists – Filippo Groppi, Federico Bezzi, and Giacomo Bocchio – Oenosapiens is a nomadic collective that produces natural wines in collaboration with small French growers. Without a fixed cellar or estate at first, they travel across wine regions (Loire, Cahors, Jura…) to highlight lesser-known terroirs and forgotten grape varieties. Their approach is radically artisanal: organic grapes, spontaneous fermentation, no additives or sulfites. Each cuvée is made in tiny quantities, with strong identity and educational intent. Notable wines include R-Evolution (Malbec from Cahors), Poulsard (Jura), and Saumurai (Chenin from the Loire).
