🍷 Jean-Christophe Garnier: Crystal-Clear Natural Wines and Artisanal Precision in Anjou
A former sommelier trained with the Parcé brothers in Banyuls and Mark Angeli in Anjou, Jean-Christophe Garnier founded his winery in 2002 in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay, in the heart of Anjou Noir. Starting with 2 hectares of Chenin and minimal equipment, he set out to make uncompromising natural wines. Today, his estate spans about 10 hectares of organically farmed vines on well-exposed limestone soils. No additives are used—no yeast, no added sulfur, no filtration. Whites are crystalline, taut, and mineral; reds are juicy, delicate, and vibrant. His cuvées are understated but highly sought after by natural wine lovers.
