🍷 Fonterenza: Brunello Twins and Natural Wine Pioneers in Montalcino
Founded in 1997 by Francesca and Margherita Padovani, Fonterenza is a winery located in Sant’Angelo in Colle, south of Montalcino in Tuscany. The Milan-born sisters turned their family farmhouse into a biodynamic, natural wine project rooted in terroir expression. The estate cultivates about 4 hectares of Sangiovese vines on clay, limestone, and schist soils. Fonterenza produces artisanal wines with no additives, using gentle vinification and long aging in large oak casks and amphorae.
