Fabio Gea
🍷 Fabio Gea: Natural Alchemy and Radical Experimentation in Barbaresco
A trained geologist, Fabio Gea left his scientific career to take over his grandfather “Nòtu’s” vineyards in Bricco di Neive, Piedmont. Since 2010, he has farmed just 1.8 hectares of vines aged 25 to 90 years, using uncertified organic methods. Fabio is known for his experimental, artisanal approach: he vinifies without additives, using amphorae, porcelain eggs, stoneware jars, and even hand-blown glass vessels. His wines are rare, alive, often bottled without sulfur, and bear poetic names like Mushroom Panda, DNAss, or Green Palma.
