Saumur Champigny Terres Chaudes

Domaine des Roches Neuves
Grown on sun-warmed clay-limestone slopes, this Cabernet Franc comes from Thierry Germain, one of the Loire's biofynamic pioneers. The old vines dig deep into warm, stony soils that ripen the fruit beautifully, giving you a red that's generous yet wonderfully fresh. Hand-harvested and gently vinified with whole bunches, it spends time in large oak casks that frame the fruit rather than mask it. Expect dark cherry, crushed raspberry, a twist of violet and that signature graphite edge, with silky tannins and a long, mineral finish. Perfect with roast lamb, grilled vegetables or a simple cheese board. Enjoy now or cellar a few years.
