Saumur Champigny Franc de pied

Domaine des Roches Neuves
Imagine a cabernet franc grown on ungrafted vines, rooted deep in the sandy, gravelly soils of the Loire — that's what makes this bottle so special. Thierry Germain farms biodynamically here, letting the fruit speak for itself. Whole bunches, gentle extraction, ageing in large oak casks: nothing heavy-handed, just pure expression. You'll find bright raspberry and crunchy blackcurrant, a whisper of violet, fine silky tannins and that lovely saline finish the appellation does so well. Drink it slightly chilled with roast lamb, grilled vegetables or a good charcuterie board. A rare, soulful red that rewards every sip — and your curiosity.
