Ratafia Soléra 15-20

Champagne Eric Rodez
A gorgeous Champenois curiosity from Ambonnay, crafted by Eric Rodez on his Grand Cru slopes farmed organically and biodynamically. Fresh grape juice is halted with fine eau-de-vie, then aged in a solera system blending vintages from 15 to 20 years — a patient layering of time you can taste. Expect a deep amber glow and aromas of dried figs, candied orange, walnut, toffee and sweet spice, carried by a rich yet beautifully balanced palate that stays lively right to the finish. Serve chilled as an aperitif, with foie gras, aged Comté or a chocolate dessert. A rare bottle worth sharing slowly.
