VDF Hurla

Caroline Gimenez
Caroline Gimenez works her Loire vines with care and very little fuss, letting the fruit do the talking. The 2024 vintage comes from schist and clay-limestone soils, farmed naturally, with grapes picked by hand when they're perfectly ripe. Vinification is gentle: whole bunches, native yeasts, no heavy extraction and barely a touch of sulphur. What you get is a bright, juicy red bursting with crunchy red berries, a floral lift and a peppery twist on the finish. Serve it slightly chilled with charcuterie, grilled veg or a Sunday roast chicken. Honest, thirst-quenching and genuinely fun to drink.
