Meursault Les Chevalières

Pierre Girardin
Pierre Girardin, son of the renowned Vincent, crafts this white with a light touch and plenty of precision. The Chevalières plot sits on the northern edge of the village, where limestone soils and cooler breezes give the fruit real tension and freshness. Hand-picked grapes are gently pressed, fermented with native yeasts in barrel (very little new oak), then left on fine lees for a long, slow élevage. The result is a 2021 brimming with citrus zest, white peach and hazelnut, wrapped around a saline, mouth-watering finish. Pour it with roast chicken, scallops or a creamy risotto — you'll be glad you did.
