Volvay 1er Cru Fremiets

Comte Armand
From one of Pommard's most respected estates, this Volnay premier cru comes from a small, beautifully placed parcel on stony, limestone-rich slopes that give the wine its lift and finesse. Farmed biodynamically, the old vines are picked by hand and sorted with real care, then fermented with native yeasts and a gentle touch, before ageing quietly in French oak barrels. Expect a perfumed nose of red cherry, wild strawberry and rose petal, with a hint of sweet spice. The palate is silky and precise, with fine-grained tannins and a long, mineral finish. Lovely now, but it'll reward a few years' patience.
