Saint Véran la Bonnode "Ovoïde" Zen

La Soufrandière / Bret Brothers
Grown on the limestone slopes of the Mâconnais, this Chardonnay comes from biodynamic vines tended by the Bret brothers at their Vinzelles estate — perfectionists known for making whites with real tension and purity. The grapes are hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, then fermented with native yeasts in egg-shaped concrete vats. That shape keeps the lees gently moving, giving the wine a lovely rounded texture without any oak masking the fruit. Expect white peach, citrus zest and a chalky, saline finish that keeps you coming back. Serve it chilled with grilled fish, goat's cheese or simply on its own. A beautifully honest, mineral white.
