Ladoix Sur les Vris

François de Nicolay
Imagine a Chardonnay grown on the stony slopes above Ladoix, right at the foot of the Corton hill, where limestone soils give the wine its crisp backbone. François de Nicolay farms biodynamically, picking by hand and letting the fruit speak for itself: native yeasts, gentle pressing, ageing in seasoned oak barrels so the wood never steals the show. The 2020 vintage brings you ripe white peach, citrus zest and a touch of hazelnut, wrapped in a saline, chalky finish that keeps you coming back. Lovely with roast chicken, creamy risotto or simply a good cheese board. Honest, vibrant Burgundy.
