Bourgogne Aligoté

Domaine Lafouge
Crafted in Auxey-Duresses by a family estate that's been working these Burgundian slopes for generations, this white is proof that Aligoté deserves far more love than it gets. The vines dig into clay-limestone soils, and the fruit is picked by hand before a gentle pressing and slow fermentation, with a spell on fine lees to round things out. Expect crisp green apple, lemon zest and a whisper of white blossom, all carried by that bright, mouth-watering freshness the grape does so well. Pour it chilled with oysters, goat's cheese or a simple roast chicken — you'll be glad you did.
