Bourgogne Aligoté

Comte Armand
From the historic Pommard estate best known for its legendary Clos des Epeneaux, this is aligoté grown with real care on limestone-rich Burgundian slopes, farmed biodynamically and picked by hand. Expect a bright, refreshing white with crisp green apple, citrus zest and a little white blossom, lifted by that saline, chalky snap you only get from good Côte d'Or soils. Gentle pressing and a patient ageing on fine lees give it extra roundness, so it's lively without ever feeling sharp. Perfect with oysters, goat's cheese or a simple roast chicken — and brilliant value for the quality you're getting.
