Saumur "Les Pentes"

Clos de l´Ecotard
A Loire white born on the sloping limestone soils of Saumur, where old Chenin Blanc vines dig deep into tuffeau to find freshness and minerality. The estate works its parcels with real care, favouring organic practices, low yields and hand harvesting to capture the fruit at perfect ripeness. Gentle pressing and slow fermentation, partly in barrel, bring texture without masking the terroir. Expect aromas of quince, white peach and a touch of honey, carried by a chalky, saline finish that keeps everything lively. Lovely with grilled fish, goat's cheese or roast poultry, and it will happily age a few more years.
