Saumur Clos de l'ecotard

Clos de l´Ecotard
Tucked into the limestone slopes above the Loire, this Chenin Blanc comes from a small Saumur estate farmed with real care — organic practices, hand-picking and tiny yields. The tuffeau subsoil works its magic here, giving the wine that cool, chalky tension you only find in this corner of France. Fermented gently and aged on fine lees, the 2021 shows ripe quince, lemon zest and a whisper of honey, all held together by a bright, saline finish. Pour it with grilled fish, goat's cheese or roast chicken, or simply chill it and enjoy. A Loire white with genuine personality and plenty of ageing potential.
