VDF "Petits Cailloux" Domaine Stéphane Rocher

Meet a Loire red that's all about easy pleasure. Stéphane Rocher works his vines near Amboise with a light touch, farming without chemicals and letting the flinty, gravelly soils do the talking. Grapes are picked by hand, then vinified gently with minimal sulphur, so what lands in your glass is pure fruit: crunchy red cherry, wild strawberry and a whisper of pepper. The tannins are silky, the finish fresh and mouth-watering. Serve it slightly chilled with charcuterie, a roast chicken or simply on its own with friends. Honest, lively and made with real care – you'll want a second bottle.
