Côte Rôtie Prélude

Jocelyne & Yves Lafoy
# Côte Rôtie Prélude 2023 – Jocelyne & Yves Lafoy Grown on the steep, sun-drenched terraces above the Rhône, this Syrah comes from a small family estate where Jocelyne and Yves tend every vine by hand. The schist and mica soils give the wine its signature warmth and depth, while a gentle vinification with partial whole-bunch fermentation keeps the fruit bright and lively. Expect violets, black cherry and a whisper of pepper, wrapped in silky tannins that make it approachable right now. A lovely introduction to one of the Northern Rhône's most celebrated hillsides. Pour it alongside roast lamb, grilled duck or a simple cheese board.
